Painting the Stars

Vincent Van Gough said that “When I have a terrible need of – dare I say ‘religion’ – then I go outside and paint the stars.” We shall listen to the first part of a DVD entitled “Painting the Stars” which explores the promise of evolutionary Christianity. The meeting will be led by David Cotterell.

Is a Radical Church Possible?

Adrian Alker is Chair of PCN Britain and is a recently retired Church of England priest. The talk and discussion will be based on Adrian's book (Is a radical church possible?) which was written to accompany the 50th anniversary of the publication of John Robinson's famous book "Honest to God".

There is an afternoon conference over two sessions led by Brian with the chance for Q&As; at Mint Methodist Church, followed by a service at the Cathedral in the evening to which all are welcome. “A Theology of Liberation”

Our own Mick Arter, will be leading our thinking and discussion on "Liberation Theology" or "A Theology of Liberation" which was the title of Gustavo Gutierrez's original book published in the early 70's. A book described as "the credo and seminal text of the movement known as Liberation Theology". Gathering from around 7 pm to order food for a 7.30 pm start. Everyone welcome to join us.
