North Staffordshire Group Meeting – A NEW UNDERSTANDING OF GOD

I will present my summary of the key elements of the picture of God presented by Norman Pittenger in his book "Picturing God" published in 1982. He calls it a new model, seeking to correct what has been the 'traditional model' for the last 1000 years, taking into account our current knowledge of the world as well as Christ and process theology in which God is not seen as primarily a fixed being out there, but as the changing source of love in action.
