Ann Conway-Jones is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Theology and Religion, University of Birmingham, specialising in biblical interpretation, early Jewish–Christian relations, and the exegetical foundations of Christian mysticism. Her PhD research, involving a range of Jewish and Christian mystical writings about the heavenly temple, was published by OUP as Gregory of Nyssa’s Tabernacle Imagery in Its Jewish and Christian Contexts. She recently recorded a series of audio lectures entitled Moses, Mount Sinai, and Early Christian Mystics.
Ann teaches biblical studies, early Jewish–Christian relations, and the development of mystical theology for The Queen’s Foundation; Woodbrooke Quaker Studies Centre; Birmingham Church of England diocese; and Oxford University Department of Continuing Studies. She is a Visiting Scholar at Sarum College, Salisbury. She enjoys making academic scholarship accessible.
Ann is actively involved in Jewish–Christian dialogue, and is the Chair of Birmingham Council of Christians and Jews.
