Phrases such as ‘religionless Christianity’ and ‘the world come of age’ go back to Bonhoeffer’s time in Tegel Prison as a result of his opposition to the Third Reich.
Jenny studied Bonhoeffer for her PhD thesis, and is well-placed to unravel some of these intriguing ideas.
Following this introduction, those who wish to pursue Bonhoeffer’s ideas further can do so by joining a fortnightly study group a stone’s throw from the Forum.
Jenny will return to wrap up the Bonhoeffer season with a session on Ethics at the Forum on the 17th of April.
