This will be an intimate gathering with time to chat with Glenna, and to explore a range of issues arising out of her work.
Out on a Limb: Sermons of Risk and Revolution is a collection of homilies that focus on liberating spirituality. Beginning with ancient scriptural texts, Rev. Glenna Shepherd, a minister in the United Church of Christ (USA), explores the intersections of current political and social issues and the radical messages of the prophets of Judeo-Christian scriptures. She brings a new perspective to current issues that often divide and alienate modern people from religion: gender, sexuality, race - immigration, marriage, and nationalism - a perspective that offers openness and hope for embracing a liberating spiritual life for today.
