The support of the Russian Orthodox Church for the war in Ukraine and for Putin's extreme nationalism presents an immense challenge for the ecumenical movement. Keith will draw upon theexample of the Confessing Church in 1930s Germany to argue that the prime ecumenical commitment is to confess Christ whatever the risks of furthering division
