This visiting Australian theologian will speak on the subject of doubt as an essential part of a growing faith. This event is a jointly sponsored by the PCN affiliated groups in Leeds and Harrogate.

Our next bi-monthly meeting will begin with a ‘bring and share meal’ at Ruth and Richard Tetlow’s home, followed by a discussion on the topic of ‘Do We Do Politics?’ introduced by Gareth Davies, one of our members. Do believers conceal or advertise their opinions when engaging in political action? Are we all simply voters or citizens, or is there a political dimension to theology?

A short afternoon meeting for PCN members and those who are regular supporters of PCN Dundee and PCN Dundee University only. We will meet Val who will introduce us to some of the themes from her book, 'Catching water in a net: human attempts to define the divine', and informally discuss these together over refreshments.

This year’s retreat will focus on the possibility of ‘progressive worship’. We anticipate an informal weekend in which attendees are free to express what progressive worship would ideally mean for them. We will explore worship forms which lend themselves to being open and inclusive.

This will be the eighth discussion session in our series following the DVD-based resource First Light - Jesus and the Kingdom of God. 'Substitutionary Atonement ' is the topic for discussion. The sessions stand alone and do not require attendance at previous meetings for the discussion to be meaningful.

Our May meeting will be a report from a recent talk at Norwich Cathedral by Harvey Cox, author of the well-known book "The Secular City". His topic is "The Market as God", a look at religion and economics. We would welcome any visitors.
