‘Prophets of ‘The Way’
Friday 28 September 2018
... the question of how progressive thought can have more exposure and practical impact. In an age which craves certainty, and with the far right (including many evangelical Christians) purporting to provide it, Progressives are convinced of the need for a re-examination of the foundations of the faith. So how can we be persuasive and effective 'Prophets of the Way'?
Apart from the main topic we also briefly look at PCN's 'Eight Points' at each session.
Today Howard introduces Point 2.

Monday 24 September 2018
Our opening meeting of the new session will focus on one of the topics voted for by members at the June planning meeting, and is especially appropriate in the year when Martin Luther's life and insights are being celebrated. Clyne Shepherd will introduce the theme, after which groups will be asked to define what theses they might want to pin on the church doors in Edinburgh! It promises to be an interesting evening, even if it may result in less dramatic action than at Wittenberg!

Described as brief, witty, personal and sharp-tongued, "Unapologetic" is a 21st-century gem. This will be the first of three study sessions on this wonderful book - please will you bring along your own copy.
